Roger Waters co-founded Pink Floyd in 1965 with drummer Nick Mason, keyboardist Richard Wright, and guitarist, singer, and songwriter Syd Barrett. Sadly, Barrett left the band which allowed Waters to take on the roles of lyricist, co-lead vocalist, and conceptual leader. Pink Floyd’s international success gave rise to the musical genre known as progressive rock and has firmly established the band as one of the greats in British and international musical culture.
These days, Roger Waters performs as a solo artist to sell-out venues around the globe.
